Rhythm Dancer is a DVD of Billy Kilson performing in concert with his band, BK Groove (Steve Wilson, Henry Hey, Kenny Davis). Fans who have enjoyed Billy's jaw dropping sideman performances will not be disappointed as Billy takes center stage, performing his music. All of the band members are also artists, so the performances are top notch. It's funk, fusion and jazz.
As a bonus track, there is also a 25 minute in-depth interview with Drummer Café's Bart Elliott. Billy discusses advice to getting started in drumming, developing diversity, studying with Alan Dawson, touring with Ahmad Jamal and creating his "Billy-isms!"
Also included is a companion CD included in this package, so you are not limited to watching the DVD in order to listen to the music. The CD contains most of the songs from the DVD plus a couple of different tunes.

Billy had the honor of sharing drum duties with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright during a Chris Botti show at the Kennedy Center. Madeleine played cymbals on Chris' "Nessun Dorma." Here are a couple of photos from the event:
